Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays everyone! Kerri, Matt and Jason (not pictured) went with Dad to the opening of an new ACE Hardware store where "fake" Santa was available for a picture. Kerri and Matt knew right away he was not the real deal. They agreed he must be there to help the real Santa since he is so busy this time of year. Ker told me his beard was awful and scratchy. Matt just thought his lap was, "squishy." Jason just wanted nothing to do with the big strange man. None-the-less the older two let him know wanted for Christmas and then they enjoyed a free lunch (hot dog and root beer). I am not sure Santa will deliver on the limousine for Kerri. Matt on the other hand will be happy with peace on earth and an mp3 player. Ricky informed us this year he wants a 30 mb (or higher) black video IPOD and went on to justify it by saying that was the only gift he wanted. He even said he'd sign a contract agreeing to give up presents for his birthday if he could have it. I don't think he even knows 7500 songs to put on it, but what do I know.

Trick or Treat...

Hope everyone had a great Halloween. We sure did. Jason caught on very quickly and kept up with his brothers and sister very well. He would run up right behind them and say "treat," he'd flash a smile, turn around and run to put the candy in his bag which Daddy held for him. As you can see we had a cheerleader, a pirate, Spiderman, a doctor, and Ricky in a cape. Ricky did not want to dress up but he did want to trick-or-treat for candy. Mean 'ole Mom told him no costume, no candy. With a big sigh he looked through all our things and found black pants, shirt and a cape. Of course we now have more candy than a mini mart. After picking through all the goodies we sorted out a 5 lb. bag for Rick to take to work and another to donate (the kids school takes extra candy to local shelters and food banks). Rick is traveling again. He had to pack up and leave just after midnight. He is off Maryland where he had to work all day. He should be home for Ricky's last game of the fall season this weekend. The winter season begins in a few weeks. I am looking forward to the break. Other news: Kerri joined her schools Choir and is enjoying it. I love listening to her sing. Can you believe there is less than 8 weeks 'till Christmas!
